Lisa Zamosky is a nationally known expert on health insurance, the Affordable Care Act and consumer health and finance concerns.
She is author of Healthcare, Insurance and You: The Savvy Consumer’s Guide, and a consumer health care columnist for the Los Angeles Times, where her Healthcare Watch column appears in the Sunday business section. Lisa is a health reform expert for WebMD, and a longtime WebMD health insurance columnist and blogger.
In addition, she is a correspondent for California Healthline and iHealthBeat, both news services of the California Healthcare Foundation.
Lisa is called upon to provide expert commentary on the Affordable Care Act for television and radio, as well as print media, including CNN Money, USA Today, Yahoo Finance, and Fox Business, among others.
Lisa’s expertise comes from experience. She spent more than 10 years in the health care industry, much of which was spent working for one of the largest managed care organizations in the country. There, she developed benefit plans for Fortune 500 companies and state governments, and oversaw all provider network operations in the company’s largest market, collaborating with health insurers and government regulators to meet market demands. She went on to work for a health care technology company formed specifically to address common medical mishaps occurring from a lack of coordinated care.
Lisa lives in Southern California with her husband and son.
